Born in Wooster, Ohio, Lewis was a W.W.II Navy veteran who served as a Pharmacist Mate 2nd class. After his service in the military, he graduated from the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science and was the owner of a funeral home in Wooster. He moved to Pinellas County in 1952 to start serving families. He, along with his wife Martha, are the Co-founders of the Lewis W. Mohn Funeral Home in Seminole, setting the highest standards in service to families at their time of need.

Lewis was an honorary fire chief of the Seminole Vol. Fire Department, a 56 year member of the Gulf Beach Masonic Lodge, Egypt Temple Shrine, Scottish Rite Valley of Tampa, Tri-City Shrine Club and Hi-Twelve, Seminole Elks Lodge and many other community clubs and activities.

Martha Mohn, Partner/Owner, has continued her husband’s dedicated service to our friends, neighbors and families we serve. We have always believed in flexible, sincere, and highly personalized service and continue to be dedicated to providing meaningful ceremonies to the families when a death has occurred. We will take care of the needs and desires of every family, no matter how small the detail.
